Dear Nicholas,

A brief note to thank you and all the Cathedral staff for the warmth of your welcome and your hospitality on our visit yesterday.

It was lovely to sing in such a warm acoustic—a rewarding experience for all of us. Unfortunately my Assistant—Ian Biggs—slipped and fell awkwardly on Friday and had to miss the occasion. Colin Kinton, who stepped into the breach at the last minute, thoroughly enjoyed his time on the organs as he hadn’t been to Derby before. It’s added to the sum total of his experience!

I hope that we may have the pleasure of coming again.
