For 2009
The Team is currently made up of The Revd Jeremy Dussek (Vicar, Full Time Stipendiary), The Revd Rosemary Donovan (Associate Vicar, Half time, and Youth Worker Half time), The Revd Frank Berry (33 Sundays, Self Supporting Minister) and Jonathan Hodgson (Reader). As mentioned in the Vicar’s and Associate Vicars’ report, we are also supported by The Revd Richard Tetlow, The Revd Ivor Jones and Eric Dwyer. We meet weekly to pray and discuss pastoral issues. In addition the Ministry Team is responsible for the planning and leading of worship in the Benefice.
In light of the recommendations from the Vision Report much of the last year has been spent delivering the foundations for both the vision and future worship which were endorsed in June and November respectively. This has led to the formation of a sustainable pattern of services which have begun a trial. Alongside both leading worship at Moseley C of E and other schools, the Youth Group, the elderly at the Monday Lunch club and in rest homes, we continue to produce imaginative and thought provoking services for the major liturgical festivals as well as marking special occasions such as the Pet Service for Harvest, Remembrance and Patronal Festivals. These often take considerable time to plan and this needs to be taken into account when we may be sometimes seen to be simply ‘being’ in Church rather than ‘doing’.
