After the Annual Church meeting a group of 11 people from St Anne’s braved the severe weather warnings and set out to explore the local Lickey Hills and the specially designed prayer walk for Lent. This walk is an initiative of the Lickey Church as part of their response to Hope 08 (as was featured in the March issue of Moseley Chimes). There are eight prayer stations spread out across the Country Park. At each place you are encouraged to relate the scene around you to your personal experience and there are prayers or poems provided on the accompanying booklet which can be collected from the Visitor Centre. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon enjoying the beauty of God’s creation and fellowship with one another, along with Jenny’s sticky chocolate cake. The walk fuelled a desire in some of the group to hold more outdoor services. Watch this space.
