St Anne’s Bells

By Jayne Beauchamp

St Anne’s Bells are now up and they are making a joyful noise unto the Benefice of Moseley. We have rung at a number of weddings recently and at the 10:15am 1’ Sunday morning services.

On Sunday 27 July the bells were dedicated at St Anne’s Patronal Festival. This was a very exciting time as we have waited a long time for this day. The project was to replace the tenor bell, modify the bell fittings to allow the five bells to be rung full circle and to augment them to a peal of six.

We are now organising a training day for all people young and old who would like to ring full circle. This will take place on the 20 September between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The day will be split into two parts with lunch being from 12:00 — 1:00 p.m. You are welcome to attend for all or part of the day. To book your place please contact me either by Email: jayne_beauchamp@hotmail.co.uk or phone on (0121) 624 6188. We welcome ringers and non-ringers on this day and have a team of trainers for different stages of learning. Please come along to find out more of what Moseley can offer the community.
