Moseley Mystery Plays

Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July 2009 in Moseley Park

This exciting community event is taking shape. Please make a note of the dates in your new 2009 diary. We are using Ken Pickering’s version of The Mysteries at Canterbury Cathedral and are delighted to have three experienced young Directors, Lixi, Mel and Ian.

We will be performing the stories of Adam & Eve, Cain & Abel, Noah’s Flood, Abraham & Isaac, Moses, The Annunciation, The Shepherds, and Herod.

There are a total of 55 speaking roles. At the casting workshop held on 17 November, the majority of the key roles were confirmed. However, if you are a budding thespian, there are still opportunities to play an acting role.

Between each of the plays there will be a short musical event, provided by a variety of local performers. If you are interested, please see contacts below. In the New Year we will be looking for help with costumes and make-up, sets and props, production, PR/marketing and sound as well as general organisation, both in advance and on the evenings of the performances.

If you would like to help in any capacity please contact Jill Adams (0121 449 4763) or Jan Miller (0121 449 0970).
