In the parishes of St. Mary and St. Anne we are looking for an experienced and inspirational priest to lead the strong Ministry Team, working collaberatively with the Assistant Priest.
We are seeking a Priest–in-Charge who will support our United Benefice and be able to communicate effectively and diplomatically with both congregations as they face the uncertainties of future development.
You will need the skills and qualities to oversee the administration of our two parishes with consistency and sensitivity, together with the ability to relate to a wide range of people and ages.
We desire someone with a robust and creative spirituality in tune with the central traditions of the two parishes, but also able to explore with us new developments in liturgy as well as supporting our strong musical tradition.
We want a priest who will value and nurture the best of our past and at the same time work with us to grasp new opportunities in worship and mission.
An important part of our mission is finding ways for our faith and action to express itself more effectively within the wider community. Consequently our new Priest in Charge will need to build trust and respect with different local agencies, and be willing to reach out to the community, becoming a recognised and visible presence in it.
