Intercessions
We remember those with birthdays this week, especially Isabelle Brown (28th), Lucy Atkinson, Pat Sack and Julia Burton (29th), Eva Cohen and Jokhim Meikle (31st), Annie Bazan-de-Fisher (1st), Anne Insley (2nd) and Carol Robinson (3rd).
The church is open every morning between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon, but to enable us to keep the church open in this way, we need more people to offer an hour one morning a week to be available in church. If you can help, please have a word with Jonathan Hodgson.
Gift Aid: If you are a taxpayer, please maximise your giving in the Offertory Plate by using the Gift Aid envelopes provided.
All notices for next week’s leaflet, please, to the Parish Office (info@stmarysmoseley.co.uk) by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. For more information, phone the Parish Office, 0121 449 2243 mornings. Messages can be left at any time.

How easy is it to go on believing confidently through good times and bad? At a first reading, the words from 1 John sounds as if it expects true faith to be firm and unfaltering in every circumstance but we know the reality of life to be very different. Perhaps John is not terrorising us with harsh demands for unshakeable faith so much as putting before us his confidence to help those who read his words through tough times, with the real possibility that we might help others should those roles be reversed. Particularly in this time of extended interregnum we need to be blessings to one another.
This celtic prayer encourages me:
May we enrich each other’s experience of life,
May we learn to share,
May we use our gifts for the good of all
and may we treat each other fairly and justly.May we encourage each other,
May we never hold each other back,
and may we be blessings to each other. Amen
O the King of Glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven; we beseech you, leave us not comfortless, but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us and exalt us to the place where our saviour Christ is gone before, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
